The pre-convention fanfiction contest is an open contest with only a few rules. No categories, no limits, no kid gloves.

It must be anime fanfiction. Not an original story, and most certainly not your Buffy/Firefly crossover 'fic with an original character who happens to have a Japanese name. There are no set categories (comedy, romance, tragedy, drama, etc); we want to see the kinds of stories you want to write.

That's right, just one bullet. There are no limits on content or length. Following basic rules grammar and style is highly recommended, however. Mature stories and spoilers are ok (just be sure to warn us about it)! Remember also that we are under no obligation to finish your story! If it terrible, or really long, we may only read part of it.

Awards will be decided after all entries are received. The best three stories, those we found to be a cut above the rest in one dimension or another will receive fitting prizes.

Your deadline is April 1, 2008. Multiple entries are acceptable. We have the final word on judging and we are infallible. We also reserve the right to publish your story at-con or to our website.

Be sure to include your name, your alias/penname/etc, your story's title, the fandom, and any applicable warnings in the email, or you risk not winning regarless of how good your penmanship is.
