Revoluticon views cosplay differently from Armageddicon.

The goal of Revoluticon is to provide a convention for anime fans based around their non-anime interests. As such, we view cosplay as a fandom in and of itself, rather than an extension of other fandoms. To cite the reasons behind this 1) there are many groups and clubs with the goal of bringing together cosplayers of all fandoms and 2) because craftsmanship, replication and the costume as a whole is often more important than who the cosplayer is portraying, there are many people interested in cosplay who do not have any inherent interest in the primary source.

Because cosplay is a fandom, we have decided that any cosplay, be it from anime or otherwise, will be judged at Revoluticon.

The Armageddicon will maintain its focus on anime only and view cosplay as a derivative work. All Anime Punch hosted events view cosplay as an artform in its own right.
